Seville Staffing Tries to Make an Impact in the Community!

In August, Seville Staffing was personally invited by a client to participate in a job fair with connections deeply rooted in the Chicago Belmont-Cragin and Hermosa neighborhoods.  Dr. Ray Berryhill, Senior Pastor of Resurrected Life Church International coordinates a medical screening/job fair/health wellness event and the Seville team jumped at the chance to be involved and assist them.

The Community Impact program is an outreach event sponsored by Resurrected Life Church International and in partnership with Feed The Children, a non-profit organization that partners with churches and humanitarian groups across denominational, racial and socioeconomic lines to help meet the needs of the people in our communities. This highly organized community cooperative will reach out to families by providing groceries and essentials, job placement and training (welfare to work reform), free health care services with follow-up visits, and free haircuts for low income families and homeless people.  By providing groceries and offering free services, the Community Impact seeks to be more of a hand up than a hand out for people.

We had a wonderful time sharing interviewing skills, resume writing tips and conducting on-the-spot interviews for our open positions.  Seville looks forward to attending more in the future.
